At the opening ceremony attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, his wife, and Ebru Şahin, Project Coordinator of the Blue Mediterranean Initiative, along with Jiang Xuebin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ankara, the commissioning of new drinking fountains—designed to facilitate citizens’ access to clean drinking water—has brought the total number of drinking fountains in central Antalya to 55.

Our drinking water fountains, made available in public spaces, provide citizens with practical and reliable access to drinking water while also helping to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic bottles.
Implemented in Antalya, which is preparing to host COP31, this project represents an important step toward raising environmental awareness, protecting natural resources, and supporting sustainable urban living.
